KHOTT BIOTECH Secures £100,000 Innovate UK Funding for Advanced Wound Care Manufacturing

KHOTT BIOTECH has been awarded a highly competitive grant from Innovate UK, the UK’s national innovation agency, to drive resource efficiency and secure domestic supply chains in the medical technology sector.

The £100,000 collaborative scale-up project, officially titled "PDPatch: Driving Resource Efficiency in UK Advanced Wound Care Manufacturing," launched on July 1, 2026. The funding will accelerate the automated manufacturing blueprint for the company's flagship "PDPatch" a novel, non-antibiotic smart textile designed to support national Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) strategies.

"This funding from Innovate UK is a transformative milestone for KHOTT BIOTECH and a massive vote of confidence in UK advanced manufacturing," said Ibrahim Khot, CEO of KHOTT BIOTECH. "By automating our 'Hard-Soft Interface' production right here in the UK, we can drastically reduce material waste, bypass vulnerable global supply chains, and deliver a critical non-antibiotic wound care solution directly to the frontlines of healthcare."
